Chapter: 62nd Night - Beyond the memories

The chapter opens with another flashback showing Juri and Haruka enjoy their infant child, Kaname, talking to him as Rido as watches from the doorway. Rido observes that perhaps new life is a good thing afterall and Juri asks if he wishes to hold the baby. Rido takes the child, but the baby wees on him. Juri apologises and Rido comments that its because Juri is bad at changing diapers, he tells Juri and Haruka that he intends to clean Kaname himself and change his shirt. Haruka is concerned and follows him out the door, but Rido has disappeared with Kaname.

Chapter: 62nd Night - Beyond the memories

Sypnosis

Yuki continues drinking from Kaname, absorbing the memories with it. Still in the flashback, the ancestor hears Haruka calls for his brother and Kaname. He looks towards the door where a sword lies near. Rido laughs, still lying on the ground, drained by the earlier bite. He tells the ancestor that it would have been better for Kaname to allow Rido to drain him, as the blood and flesh he got from the baby and the blood from Rido were nowhere near enough to restore his flesh. He asks Kaname what he intends to do as Kaname stares at his fleshless hand, he asks Kaname if he will sacrifice Juri and Haruka, noting that Kaname is suffering from a hunger built over thousands of years and he finds it unimaginable. Kaname looks over at the baby's cloth. He closes his eyes and his body seems to disappear. Haruka enters the room, calling for his brother. Kaname narrates that his body was excessively imperfect as Rido had recognised. Haruka looks over to the coffin and finds the bloody baby blanket, he holds it to his face in grief. He looks down and sees the baby in Kaname's jacket, he kneels down and picks up the new baby. Kaname narrates that his body's desire to repair itself was instigating a bloodlust that was overtaking his mind and in order to control it, he regenerated his cells into that of a baby and entrusted his body to Haruka and Juri and put his memories to sleep. Haruka picks up the child and hugs it, he brings back the baby to a sad Juri.
Yuki continues to drink from Kaname as she begins to see the life of Kaname as a growing child. Kaname meets baby Yuki and she grasps his finger, Yuki in the present, squeezes Kaname's shoulder in sympathy. Young Kaname is charmed by the child. In the present, Kaname has lost strength and is laid on the coffin. Yuki leans over Kaname and strokes his face. She asks if he was the person who was sleeping inside the coffin and Kaname confirms it. Yuki grasps his face with both hands and asks if it's alright to ask who is was. She thinks that she wants to know properly. She asks him why he never told her before, why he tells her now. Yuki has many questions, she wants to know why he was sleeping in the coffin. He pushes the hair away from her face and Yuki tells him that to her, he can be the only Kaname, so he shouldn't worry and that he should tell her everything. Kaname tells her to ask his blood, Yuki swiftly bites his neck again.
The flashback picks up after the attack by Rido on the Kuran, as Kaname places an unconscious Yuki in the snow telling her he will go and take care of the vampires pursuing them. He tells her that it will be ok and he will take her to a warmer place, but he laments that the next time she awakens, she will not know who he is. Yuki awakens in the snow, but in the form of her older human self with short hair wearing her school uniform. She realises she's in a memory, a shadow approaches, calling out to her, he asks to drink her blood. It is the vampire who attacked her from her memorues, Yuki strikes the vampire with the Artemis appearing in her hands. She wonders if this is her memory. Shizuka Hio approaches. She tells Yuuki that drinking from someone also can bring along fragments of their memories with it. As Yuki recognises Shizuka, Rido hugs her from behind as he did in 43rd Night, calling her Juri. Many figures are suddenly surrounding Yuki, they begin reaching for her, demanding her blood. Yuki becomes overwhelmed and screams, then she begins to fall.
Kaname's voice is heard telling another person that he doesn't remember his own name, another vampire names him Kaname after their village. Yuki breaks through Kaname's memories like breaking glass. The vampire narrates that the human population has drastically dropped because of the climate change. The vampire tells Kaname its fine if he wants to be alone, that they will go and find others who also cannot die. Two cloaked figures leave, determined that there must be more like themselves out there, she tells Kaname it's ok if he forgets his name as he probably won't need it. Yuki watching, wonders when this past is from. She remember's Aido's lessons as he told her the climate change took place over ten thousand years ago and at this time, the founders of the vampires, who had been scattered over the world, began to realise there were others like them around.
A new flashback with changing scenes show Kaname living with some villages. Villagers show their harvests to Kaname, calling him lord and thanking him for his help. Kaname standing over a sleeping woman, before he withdraws her blood. A group of villagers confront kaname with the rumours of him stealing their blood at night. They call him a monster and unnatural, saying that he never goes out in the sun, that he uses his blood instead of their medicine and he hasn't aged in two generations. Some villagers go after Kaname with makeshift weapons, calling him a freak and demanding that he pay back the blood he took from them, to give them his blood as medicine.
Kaname sits alone under a tree and another vampire calls out to him. she tells him its natural for the humans to fear them and says it would be better for the humans and the vampires if they live separately, she extends her hand to Kaname and tells him to join their companions. Kaname follows her. Yuki realises this is the beginning of vampire race they know today. She feels faint looking so back at the past and that the figure of the past Kaname who stood alone is alike with that of Zero's figure. The founders express concern over others pointlessly creating too many ex-human vampires, whom they call servants and they do not need to create so many to live, as these servants cannot live off air. A founder gathers more vampires to him, which worries the others, but they are relieved the servants are obeying.
A founder tells a sleeping Kaname to rouse, she notes that he passed out because he refuses to turn humans and is starved, she extends her arm and tells him to drink, telling him not to claim that he's forgotten how to use his fangs. Kaname sits up and she tells him that she will have him return the favour soon. She asks him to lend her his power and part of her face is seen for the first time. Yuki is surprised at the revelations.

Good Passage about Vampire Knight

Revelations in this episode:
Yuki finally finds out the truth behind who Zero is.
We are introduced to Class E vampires.
We learn of Yuki’s fear of going out alone, and while she is out she is attacked by Class E vampires.
Kaname saves Yuki and states that Yuki is his special person.

I liked the way this episode progressed, it was fast with little wasted time. Yuki finally finds out about Zero and Zero attacks Yuki. This was a pretty dark episode. Kaname’s show of his power was really cool too, and as usual the OP sequence was just hypnotic.

I like Zero’s character – the twist that he is actually a vamp. I thought that was pretty cool.
As for Yuki, I can’t seem to see her other than a loud girl who starting to get on my nerves just a little. I know that there are more things about who she is etc (in the manga) but right now, in this episode, all we know about her is the same flashback over and over again of her being attacked by the vamp when she was young and Kaname saving her.
Kaname on the other hand is a mystery. One moment I like the him when he is all overprotective over Yuki, but when he starts getting all high and mighty(in a subtle way) I can’t help but like Zero better.

The animation was nice but for some reason due to the way the shadows were drawn on the character’s faces they looked like anorexic zombies. I am looking forward to the next episode to see how Yuki handle’s this new revelation that she has just been dealt with.

Overall, it was intersting, the plot thickens and builds with a good portion of suspense. Enough action to make it less shoujo-ish and more interesting.
I was reluctant to watch and review this episode because for some reason every episode was so heavy to watch. Nothing happy happens. EVER. And judging from the way the plot is progressing i doubt that happy things will ever happen.
This anime is nothing if not filled with mysteries and secrets. I LOVE IT!

Vampire Knight: Share good passage with you

This was a tough review to write. Not only because Hino Matsuri-sensei's Vampire Knight is a popular, fans will write their own critiques provided a Comment button to press title, but more so because you can charge it with possession of plot.

Don't get me wrong; I adore shoujo, but you gotta agree that the genre is known more for character and relationship development than story. It's a defining trait, and you'd be hard-pressed to find shoujo manga bucking that norm. In fact, when I started hunting for titles that similarly transcend mere romantic subplot resolution, I could only come up with two others: Ono Fuyumi-sensei's Ghost Hunt and Watase Yuu-sensei's Alice 19th (and even then, the latter's a li'l iffy).

In any case, here's a third that tears through the predominantly-relationship drama stereotype. Vampire Knight or VK uses at least three master plots—metamorphosis, rivalry, vengeance— from the definitive list of 20 identified by Ronald B. Tobias (cited by TV Tropes Wiki) to underpin its tale. Not that writing by numbers detracts from enjoyment of this title; deft employment fulfills the expectation and surprise contract (that supposedly guarantees emotional investment) between reader and author in You go! proportion.

So while still populated with the requisite pretty boys (who at least don't walk around with bishie sparkles because they're just so pretty that light, like members of the opposite sex, behaves strangely around them), VK actually seems to be headed somewhere, with deliberation aforethought.

(I can't write the rest without SPOILAGE and further side commentary, so tread carefully. Scans and quotes are from the ChuangYi English translation, the VIZ Shojo Beat Online Manga preview, and Wikiquote.)

Cross Academy harbors a secret: during the night, it undertakes the academic education of vampires. Only the headmaster and two student councilors, Cross Yuki and Kiriyu (or Kiryu) Zero tasked to hide the truth from the human day students, are privy to this info bit(e).

Yuki and Zero's promotion to secret keeper accrues from first-hand experience with deadly vampire attacks. Both view their charge differently: Zero detests all undead because of the fatal strike against his family while Yuki, despite having lost her parents, was rescued by the regal true-blood Kaname and thus, inclined to be more open-minded about vampires. Additionally, she shares headmaster Cross Rijichou's vision—that of creating a peaceful world where the undead and not live and cooperate—a view reinforced by her savior Kaname. Kaname also believes that understanding is the key to coexistence and his position at the apex of the vampire social pyramid and enrollment into the boarding school persuades other brethren into giving Cross Academy a chance.

So where does conflict enter in this dreaming-of-ideal world? Beyond the obvious racial clash, it immediately bares its fangs (in the first chapter to be exact) in the introduction of the predictable but much-embraced love triangle. Yuki worships her deliverer Kaname and Kaname, in turn, cherishes Yuki. It's a relationship that rubs the arrogant followers of Kaname-sama the wrong way. Night class student Aido Hanabusa puts it ominously, succinctly: Who are you to Master Kaname, Yuki?

It is Kaname who, without dissembling, clues us in to who desires this closeness: You're always so polite. Your formality... feels cold, he chides Yuki in the first chapter. This attempt at expanded intimacy infuriates the anti-social Come on vampires. I've been pissed off lately Zero who only thaws in Yuki's company. In that same scene which has Kaname patting Yuki on the head, Zero steps in and forcibly removes Kaname's hand, much to the latter's amusement.

Secondly—and this is the more significant—humans bitten by a true-blood turn into vampires. While Yuki's attacker was a human-turned-undead, Zero's assailant was a true-blood.

So Zero, descended from a proud line of vampire hunters, has been turned. Yuki is unaware of this, until blood thirst forces Zero to sink his fangs into her oh-so-available neck.

To say that Zero overflows with remorse and self-hatred after would be an understatement. He loathes what he has done; abhors what he has become. But his refusal to drink the blood pills given by Cross Rijichou (Yuki and Zero's adoptive father now that the pair are orphaned) to prevent the thing that terrifies him from happening has backfired. The only avenue left open now is for Zero to entrust his weapon, the gun Bloody Rose, to Yuki with the directive, I want you to kill me.

Post shock and initial resistance, Yuki comes to accept a changed Zero, thereby ensuring that she's not about to blow his brains out. They grew up together, after all. Yuki even gave Zero, not Kaname, the sole Valentine chocolate she succeeded in making. Furthermore, much to Kaname's disgust, Yuki (Let the most unforgivable act of all be committed) decides to break that most forbidden of taboos—feeding a most reluctant Zero.

The shoujo concessions are apparent: the bishounen, the love triangle, the insertion of light-heartedness to relieve the bloodied angst, the sensuousness of the feeding—they're all here. As are the wonderfully pretty pictures that is Hino Matsuri-sensei's trademark. But the story remains the draw. Given that all human vampires eventually turn into mindless bloodthirsty beasts, what's going to happen to Zero? What is Kaname (I thought only you wouldn't betray her. That is why you're still alive, Zero. You're alive because I'm letting you live.) really planning? To keep Yuki "safe," will Kaname succumb to the temptation of turning her? Which vampire is the "Vampire Knight"? These are just some questions that endorse continued emotional outlay.

And it looks like protracted speculation will remain the order, seeing as the manga published in Japan by Hakusensha is up to volume 6 and still current. (VK is licensed for English distribution by VIZ (two volumes out) and ChuangYi Singapore which has already published volumes 1 to 5.)

Granted, VK is a more serious outing for the manga-ka who brought us MeruPuri and Toraware no Minoue (Captive Heart) but that's not reason enough to eschew, even if you're not a vampire fan (which I'm not, BTW, regardless of a 4 out of 6 VK read meter). And funnily enough, I think even the manga-ka surprised herself with this story. She reveals in the first quarter column:

I wanted to try writing a 'campus love story' or a 'tragic vampire love story', but somehow I just felt really awkward about the idea of writing such stories about vampires... And then I started writing Vampire Knight...
What she let remain unsaid may ultimately be the je ne sais quoi that resonates emotionally and explains why VK succeeds in pulling you in for the long haul. In my limited view, I can only squeak out, Plot?

Aside: I hope someone options this for anime adaptation and with the same cast as the drama CDs': Horie Yui-san as Cross Yuki; Kishio Daisuke-san as Kuran Kaname; and Miyano Mamoru-san as Kiriyu Zero *beams*.

Rating: 8.5 out of 10 vampire-powers-sealing tattoos (the additional 0.5 comes from Hino Matsuri-sensei's phone call to her editor, shared in one of the quarter columns: Boss, I think I really like to draw comedies after all. Stuff like MeruPuri, which, like the Blood-drenched vampires aren't allowed on this page! fillers, introduces a bit of welcome levity.)

Seirene in Vampire Knight

Seirene

Seiren (星煉, Seiren) is a student of the Night Class, she is Kaname Kuran's unofficial bodyguard. She is usually the first to defend Kaname from anyone she regards as a threat. For example, she barely refrains from killing Zero when he points a gun at Kaname for comparing Zero to a level E. It seems she also acts as a spy for Kaname. She has no powers (she can ,however, erase minds and put people to sleep) (though most vampires have that ability), but is skilled at martial arts, and using ninja-like weapons.
Seiren is a highly trusted vampire, when Kaname and Yuki return to the Kuran mansion in secret, Seiren is already there having prepared their quarters.
She is a very quiet character as she only speaks when necessary.
She shows mild liking toward Kaname.
Appearance
Seiren is thin, and about 5'5 to 5'7 tall. In the manga, she has very short grayish blue to grayish purple hair (it falls to her cheeks), and her eyes are gray to icy blue.
Personality

Seiren seems to be a no-nonsense type girl, and can always be trusted to get her job done. She can seem cold, but is very loyal.

Headmaster Kaien Cross

Headmaster Kaien Cross (黒主理事長, Kurosu Kaien Rijicho) is a character in the manga series Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino. In the story, he is the current Headmaster of the Cross Academy. He is also known as the strongest vampire hunter in history and is quite the legend. He is the adopted father of Yuki Cross, the heroine of the story. Kaien's role in the story is largely observant and he takes little action until the hunter's association attacks the night class.Kaien was once friends with Juuri Kuran in his youth, but following an unknown incident they lost contact and Kaien turned into a cold blooded vampire hunter. Kaien is known as the "Vampire without fangs" because he doesn't age and can't die naturally like a vampire. At some point he came to the conclusion he needed to kill all the Kurans known as the strongest of the vampire clans. During this time he stalked Juri Kuran, but was defeated soundly by her. She bargained with Kaien to start a school where vampires and human could both attend. With Juri's influence, Kaien took on Juri's dream and retired as a vampire hunter rejoining the family business of running Cross Academy 16 years prior to the story's beginning. Following the deaths of Juri and Haruka Kuran, Kaien took in their hidden daughter, Yuki after Kaname Kuran brought her to Cross for safekeeping. Cross kindly took Yuki in and adopted her within the week, becoming her very doting and slightly odd father, much to Yuki's annoyance. Kaien also took Zero Kiryu into his home several years later. He also wished to adopt Zero, but Zero refused.

Plot of Vampire Knight

Vampire Knight

Vampire Knight (ヴァンパイア騎士 Vanpaia Naito?) is a shōjo manga and anime series written by Matsuri Hino. The series premiered in the January 2005 issue of LaLa magazine and is still on-going. Chapters are collected and published in collected volumes by Hakusensha, with eleven volumes currently released in Japan. The manga series is licensed in English by Viz Media, who has released ten volumes so far. Two drama CDs were created for the series, as well as a twenty-six episode anime adaptation. Plot

Yuki Cross' earliest memory is of being all alone on a snowy night in winter, when she was attacked by an evil "Level E" vampire and saved by a powerful but kind vampire named Kaname Kuran. Ten years later, Yuki, along with her childhood friend, Zero Kiryu are school guardians at the prestigious Cross Academy where her adopted father is the headmaster. The school is hosting an experimental program that is trying to prove that humans and vampires can live together peacefully, in a quest for coexistance.
The job of the guardians is to make sure that peace is maintained and to protect the human "Day Class" students from the vampire "Night Class" students if necessary. They also make sure that the human students do not discover that the Night Class members are all actually vampires. They go by the guise as "prefects" or "disciplinary committee members" so as to not blow their secret. The day class students try to follow the night class students around, as they are all very beautiful, intelligent, and often flirts.
The night class is made up of high-class vampires (Levels A and B), as there is a hierarchy among vampire society. Level A includes only pure bloods, the rarest, most elite, and most powerful class, whose bloodlines have never mixed with humans. Pure bloods are also the only kind of vampires who can bite a human and turn them into another vampire, and a pure blood's blood gives whoever drinks it greater powers. Level B are known as "Nobles" or "Aristocrats." These are also very powerful vampires, but not as much so as pure bloods. They also have a small amount of human blood in their ancestry. Levels C,D, and E include humans who have been turned by a pure blood rather than born as a vampire. These ex-humans will eventually go mad with blood lust and become a "Level E" if they are not stabilized by drinking the blood of the one who originally bit them in the first place. Stabilized ex-humans are known as "Level C" or "regular vampires", and humans who have been bitten but have not gone mad are "Level D".
The story follows Yuki's discovery that Zero had been turned into a vampire and her struggle to keep him sane, since he had not been stabilized, and prevent his condition from deteriorating into the lowest form of vampire, the monstrous Level E. Zero's parents were vampire hunters, killed by a pure blood out for revenge, and who also bit him in the process and took his twin brother, assumed to be dead. He hates what he has become, and fears that he will succumb to blood lust and murder everyone. He feels that the only option is to kill himself, which Yuki tries to help him avoid. Meanwhile, she also tries to deal with her seemingly unobtainable love for her hero, Kaname, who also happens to be a pure blood- the only one in the night class.
Yuki faces a difficult decision with the arrival of Shizuka Hio. She is the pure blood vampire who killed Zero's family and turned Zero into a vampire. She offers Yuki a deal to help him; either by having her kill Kaname or allow her to drink Yuki's blood and become a vampire herself. Yuki decides to give up her humanity to save both Zero and Kaname, but is stopped by Zero, who would rather kill Shizuka. Neither occurs when Zero's assumed dead twin shows up, and Kaname ends up killing Shizuka and drinking her blood in order to protect Yuki and reluctantly, Zero. With the loss of his salvation, Yuki continues to help Zero fight his bloodlust while also seeking to recover the memories she lost as a young child before Kaname found her. As the series progresses, Zero's thirst for blood leads to his drinking from Yuki, by her consent, to avoid becoming a level E vampire and losing himself to his monstrous instincts. This is difficult for him, since he secretly loves her and doesn't want to hurt anybody. Kaname loves Yuki as well, and is very protective of her, and to stop her from having to do this, he gives Zero his own "pure" blood. Also, since he had consumed the blood of Shizuka Hio, his own helps keep Zero from going insane and from needing to feed from Yuki.
Eventually, it is revealed that Yuki is a pure blood vampire herself; the Pure blood Princess of the Kuran family, who had been transformed into a human before she lost her memories. It is also revealed that Kaname is Yuki's older 'brother' and that they were engaged as children to be married. This is a common practice among pure bloods to preserve blood lines and due to the fact that vampires are immune to inbreeding. Despite this, Kaname is not Yuki's true blood brother, but an ancient and powerful ancestor of the royal Kuran family who was resurrected by Rido Kuran so that Rido could prey on him and consume him to become more powerful. He escaped and was raised by Yuki's parents, Juuri and Haruka Kuran, after Rido had kidnapped and sacrificed their first child to bring him back to life. To protect Yuki from her monstrous uncle and the corrupt vampire senate who wished to exploit their pure blood, her mother sacrificed her life in order to perform a spell that would seal Yuki's memories and allow her to live as a human. After Yuki reawakens to her vampire nature, Rido again tries to kill her and consume her power. At the same time, Kaname had gone to kill the members of the vampire senate who they had discovered were working together with their uncle to not only get Yuki, but destroy the night class and their hopes for peace. During a fierce battle, Zero ultimately kills Rido, but later on tells Yuki he will have to kill her too when he sees her once again, since she is a pure blood. She tells him that she will keep running, so that he will have a reason to live. Although this is where the anime ends, the manga continues the story and is updated monthly in LaLa Magazine.

Ruka Souen (早園瑠佳, Sōuen Ruka) is a Night Class student popular among the Day Class boys and one of the most faithful and protective of Kaname Kuran's followers.

Personality

Ruka usually reflects a haughty, bored and uniterested persona to the rest of the world, probably due to her noble upbringing. One of her defining characteristics is her love for Kaname Kuran. Since they were children, Ruka has been tied by loyalty and admiration for him, angry at all those who disrespect him and disdainful of all girls who fawn on him. Her possessiveness made her hot-tempered and jealous, but her love for Kaname also brought out a vulnerable, self-doubting aspect of her usually proud personality, which she only expressed to her close friend Akatsuki Kain. She realized how overzealous and how she was only thinking of her own feelings and matured. Since giving up on him, she has shown a gentler side to her personality. She even gave Yuki, whom she was jealous of before, etiquette lessons and during the ball, told her that she was glad Yuki and Kaname were getting along so well.
Although Kain has been in love with her since they were children, she appears to be oblivious to his feelings for her.

Appearance

Ruka is slim, with a pale complexion. She is elegant, and very ladylike. She has the same ethereal beauty that the rest of her race possesses, with delicate features and light eyes that are a dusky-rose color. She has wavy dark peach-orange colored hair that falls to her waist. Her height is 175cm.

Background

Ruka as a child.
Ruka grew up privileged, as the daughter of a noble family. Her family is part of what is referred to by Asato Ichijo as the "Aido faction", which is comprises of the Kain, Aido, Souen, Toya, and other clans. Not much is known about her parentage, but her father or mother is possibly part of the Senate or in another high position, as Ichio refers to her as "The daughter of Souen". Ruka came to Cross Academy to be closer to her long-time idol, Kaname Kuran, with whom she is "in love" with. On their first night at the school, she asked Kaname to drink her blood to prevent him from drinking Yuki's blood, but he has since refused it, which deeply hurts her, even though she had expected him to refuse her blood.

Plot About Senri Shiki

Plot Summary

Shiki starts having a central role in the plot when, during the holiday, his great-uncle shows him 'the Shiki family's greatest secret', the bloody, weak remains of his father, Rido Kuran, who was supposed to be dead. He becomes possessed by his father and returns to the Academy, where Rima Touya immediately notices something different about him. She eventually learns the truth and swears to kick out whoever was Shiki's body, engaging in combat. During the fight, she tells him he's an idiot to let someone control him so easily and to "love himself more". Shiki is seen trying to regain control, while Rido tells him it's futile. Shiki then falls unconscious, and Rido leaves his body as he regains his original one.
In Chapter 41, he regained consciousness and after recalling the events that had taken place, apologizes to an unconscious Rima for letting Rido use his body and embraces her. He then protects Rima from a vampire servant of Rido. Shiki declares he is no longer a puppet that can be controlled by his father. In chapter 43, he hurriedly carries Rima out of the Moon Dorm as it is collapsing. During this, he suddenly came upon Rido and glared at him before leaving.
He and Rima went searching for Ichijo who didn't come back until Kaname had told them to stop, telling them that Ichijo was safe but not telling them any details. Rima was still upset with Kaname for that and didn't want to be at the ball in the first place, but Shiki convinced her to stop sulking and to go for his sake. As they were discussing this, they ran into Ichijo. The three of them reunited and Shiki and Rima learned that Ichijo had been with Sara Shirabuki for the past year.
Later, Shiki along with Rima, goes to visit Yuki at the Kuran mansion. Yuki, despite being told by Kaname not to let anyone in, says she'd accept responsibility and cheerfully invites them in for tea. He tells her not to bother as they were not staying for long, and relays on Ichijo's message to 'take care of Kaname'. Then, he proceeds to say that he did not refuse the tea because he disliked her, and that he preferred the carefree look she had when she invited him in.
In Chapter 58, he and Rima are seen having a photoshoot at a school where Sara was posing as a student and Ichijo, her brother. They again run into Ichijo there.
